Longtime Seattleites will remember The Swing Years & Beyond, the incredible KUOW show highlighting “Jazz, swing, ballads, blues, show tunes and bebop” from the 1920s to the 1950s. KUOW ended the show about ten years ago, but I am willing to bet a lot of people still miss what was their Saturday night soundtrack. A few years ago I put together a master playlist based on a lot of old show playlists that Amanda Wilde shared at one point on Facebook. If like me you still want to hear the Swing Years, this does a pretty good job of mimicking it! I hope folks enjoy: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/48oCQ27HjWFkSsEyt6hP6X?si=cd52a9b303504f4c PS KUOW bring the show back!! submitted by /u/Visual_Audience_5918 |
