Does anyone know what’s happening with KCHRA / Coordinated Entry?

I have posted on here before regarding my complaints about the coordinated entry / KCHRA system, and since then they have gotten caught “misplacing” funds, And I am trying to understand what is being done to address some of the barriers within the coordinated entry program.

As a social worker myself, these barriers are making it impossible for referring clients to housing and it’s leaving beds empty that could be filled. I have contacted the coordinated entry staff and the properties such as LIHI that provide beds, but even they seem lost on how the process works.

TLDR: Getting unhoused people into housing / shelter is confusing here and a shitty process. I want to be connected with someone who can help me advocate for change, understand the process better, and connect to support the people we all serve.

(I have tried the mayor and didn’t get a response and director of Seattle office of housing and waiting for a potential response)

Does anyone here:

Work with KCRHA, Coordinated Entry, or the local homeless coalition?

Know someone involved in these systems who would be willing to talk with a frontline provider?

Know what current efforts are underway to address these referral/access issues?

Know of any provider workgroups, coalitions, or meetings where these issues are being discussed?

I’m not looking to criticize individual workers. I’m genuinely trying to understand who is working on this, what is currently being done, and how frontline providers can have a voice in improving it.

If you have a contact or know of a meeting/group I should be aware of, I’d really appreciate being pointed in the right direction
