DoorDash Seattle is out of control

I live in downtown Seattle and while downtown offers some walkable restaurants, many are touristy, overpriced and mid. The “great” Seattle food spots in other parts of the city (ie Fremont). Also walking in downtown Seattle at night with your family to go eat can be a bit of a risk in itself.

I have a car but finding parking in Seattle becomes such a challenging task that it’s not even worth the frustration.

So that leaves DoorDash & UberEats as my best options.

But… These services now have crazy fees attached to them due to intense Seattle regulations. This example is $18.36 in fees for a $28.00 order…

Are local restaurants relying on foot traffic alone? (Since no parking and no one wants to pay these fees)

Or do people actually pay these fees?

I just got back from a work trip to Japan. I used UberEats and my delivery fee was 140 JPY or $.95.
