Event started at 5:30 with no posted end time. Looks like about 40 people officially part of the gathering with a lot of tourists stopping to watch as well. Right now a folk singer is singing an anti-war song. Organizers include Refuse Fascism (probably the most normie group here, whose messaging is almost always about stopping Trump) as well as groups like Seattle Against War and Freedom Road Socialist Organization, which have said some more fringe things but today are sticking to chants like “No blood for foreign oil!” (Unfortunately though still bringing the IRGC flag which could be interpreted as supporting the murderous Iranian government, which goes a lot further than just opposing US intervention.) submitted by /u/bennetthaselton |
