I’ve spent the last 4 years working on in building a commission based art studio. Now that I’m getting divorced, it’s time to call it quits on my pipe dream and return to the work force. I’ve sent out, or applied in person, to almost 200 positions that I’m more than qualified for and I’ve had 1 interview at a grocery store that ghosted me after the interview.
My lease is up July 25th, and then I’m going to be out on the streets trying to survive. I have a good damn college degree and can’t get employment as a janitor in this city!
There has to be some way to break through all these fake job postings?! There’s no way I’ve sent out that many for less than 1% response rate. This is so ridiculous when the news says how employers can’t find help yet I’m sitting here applying to QFC and Chipotle and not a god damn word from any of them
