Unfortunately, I have a diagnosis of celiac disease staring me in the face. It’s not confirmed yet (my test results come back Monday or Tuesday), but lots of things about my relationship with toilets is making more sense to me.
For those who don’t know, this means I need to live a gluten free life, if diagnosed. Forever.
So I’m planning a last meal, and I already know what I want:
Biscuits & sausage gravy
Chicken fried steak, also with sausage gravy
Eggs, over easy, with toast (preferably something artisinal)
Pancakes or waffles
Wit beer, if possible
But I’m not going out with the same old Denny’s or IHOP or whoever is just reheating Sysco. I want the gourmet shit, if such a place exists.
If you know of such a place in or around Seattle, please let me know. Help me end life as I currently know it right.
