Northbound I-405 in Bellevue closes TONIGHT (Oct. 16–19). Let's talk about your weekend route.

Big weekend plans for northbound I-405 in Bellevue. We’re talking fresh pavement, concrete panels and a new overhead sign structure.

HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT:

Starting at 11 p.m. TONIGHT (Friday, Oct. 16), all lanes of northbound I-405 will close between SE 8th St. and NE 4th Street until 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19.

The following ramps will also close:

  • SE 8th St. on-ramp to northbound I-405
  • Northbound I-405 off-ramp to NE 4th St./NE 8th St. (Exit 13 A/B)

WHY, YOU ASK?

Crews will be paving, installing concrete panels and setting an overhead sign structure as part of the I-405/Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project.

OKAY, BUT HOW DO I GET AROUND?

Signed detours will be in place throughout the closure (we’ve attached a map of the detour route ).

If you’re traveling through Bellevue this weekend, check the real-time travel map, know your route before heading out and (we can’t stress this enough) give yourself some EXTRA TIME.
