I just started getting back into running this year and with the rainy season starting to loom I’m wondering how regular runners cope with the wet. I’ve lived here 20+ years so I’m not allergic to the rain or anything, I just don’t think I will make it mentally using a treadmill for the next 6 months. Is that my only real option though? Or do you just own multiple pairs of shoes, or somehow throw them in the drier without destroying them? Do you spend a small fortune on Patagonia rain gear and GTX shoes? Or maybe I’m missing some more obvious option like covered areas or indoor public tracks or something.
I’m not some sort of ultra triathlon athlete, just 3-5 mile runs. Appreciate any tips you got.
