Seattle Children’s Ghost Jobs
This is a post mostly out of frustration from a job seeker and a word of warning to not waste your time and energy applying for those Seattle Children’s Hospital jobs. Since you can’t comment on bad HR/recruitment practices on the job posts on LinkedIn and Indeed, I thought I’d share my thoughts here.
I’ve been applying to a bunch of jobs recently in the area and a pattern that I have come across is a lot of reposted jobs coming from Seattle Children’s hospital.
I’ve applied to several of these jobs where I am uniquely and overly qualified for only to be sent a rejection email the following day. I’ve never even had an interview. However, multiple of the jobs that I am overqualified for and rejected from at Seattle Children’s have been reposted several times throughout the last two/three years even after I have applied for them.
I understand every business posts “ghost jobs” that we all hear about, but Seattle Children’s seems to be taking it to the next level with the shear amount of job postings that seem to remain open for a long time until eventually reposted.
I would love to see their turnover and recruitment retention rates!
Any other shifty businesses or organizations people know posting ghost jobs should please comment them below so us job seekers can stop wasting our time on their data collection scams and actually find meaningful work.
