These chairs look so obviously uncomfortable that it’s already been brought up here before: https://www.reddit.com/r/Seattle/comments/1kol0ec/new_sea_arrivals_seating/ I went to the Port of Seattle meeting and said: Even if the purported reason for these uncomfortable chairs is to stop people from sleeping in them, you already have semi-comfortable chairs in other pre-security areas like baggage claim, and it hasn’t caused any out-of-control problems, so you might as well have some semi-comfortable chairs outside international arrivals too. (The last 30 seconds of my remarks was referencing something that the newly elected Commission President said earlier, about how he felt that in reading descriptions of events sometimes it was hard to tell if they were happening in Iran or in the United States.)
