teacher looking for day hikes for high schoolers (like 30+)

Hey y’all,

Long story short, I am a public school teacher of many things in SPS, and I have this fun loophole in one of the classes I teach (Nutrition and Wellness) bc “wellness” is a very broad term. The #1 complaint I’ve gotten from my classes are the lack of field trips, so I’m trying to fill that hole this year. My current students were polled on their interests and reported back they are very much interested in foraging, yoga, and hiking!

So!

In your opinion: where’s a good place to take high schoolers, minimum 30 kids but probably more like 90 (I can split this into multiple field trip days if I need to) for a sorta-local daytime hike? Ideally, the hiking destination would have parking for a school bus or two and different difficulty levels of trails, from beginner to challenging. The only place I can think of is St. Edwards.

Thoughts? 🙂

(edit: omg thank y’all so much!!!)
