“The sky is really pretty today”

"The sky is really pretty today"

Before moving to Washington, we would get gorgeous rainbow skies at sunset (AZ, TX). But they were always the result of dust aloft warm, windy skies. I noted how nice the sky looked this evening, how it reminded me of summers before we moved (heat, haze, etc.), but then I had to remind myself of our new geography. Innocuous dust? Not so much. First full year of observing weather patterns here…and the effects of forest fires directly.

I know some years have been terrible via news outlets, but I wanted community opinion on whether the haze/smoke at this level is truly standard in summer or just a result of where larger fires are blowing currently.
