Before moving to Washington, we would get gorgeous rainbow skies at sunset (AZ, TX). But they were always the result of dust aloft warm, windy skies. I noted how nice the sky looked this evening, how it reminded me of summers before we moved (heat, haze, etc.), but then I had to remind myself of our new geography. Innocuous dust? Not so much. First full year of observing weather patterns here…and the effects of forest fires directly. I know some years have been terrible via news outlets, but I wanted community opinion on whether the haze/smoke at this level is truly standard in summer or just a result of where larger fires are blowing currently. submitted by /u/Deltanonymous- |
