The grand-opening date is set for the newest West Seattle business offering you the opportunity to get your hands on something other than a keyboard. Six months after we first reported that The Works Seattle would move into the ex-Seattle E-bike space at 4540 California SW – proprietor Kellie Phelan has set the date: November 28, which also happens to be Small Business Saturday. The festivities that day will run 10 am to 7 pm, starting, of course, with a ceremonial ribboncutting. As explained in our May report, The Works Seattle will not open here as a new business – it’s been based in Fremont, but Kellie lives in West Seattle and wants to work here too. You might even have met her by now, because for months she’s kept an intense schedule of mini-pop-ups around town.
