We’ve reported before on crows digging up grass in search of grubs … but readers Shannon and Steve are looking for advice in discouraging larger diggers:
We live near the corner of 44th and Dakota. Three healthy racoons have been visiting us at night over the past week and rototilling our lawn in search of grubs. We have been researching sustainable options to discourage the racoons and recover our lawn, but we have not had much success. We’d love to find out if anyone has experienced this and what solutions have worked. Thank you for any guidance you can provide.
And in case you wondered (we did), yes, it’s definitely raccoons – they later sent pictorial proof:
Advice, anyone?
