If you have art to display, you’re in! Dropoffs start tomorrow for the Southwest Artist Showcase at Southwest Library – here’s what it’s all about:
The Southwest Artist Showcase is back for our 34th year in the neighborhood! From October 4 – November 1, this free, month-long event features artists from all over west and southwest Seattle, including White Center.
We welcome submissions from people of all ages and experience levels for our non-juried, non-profit showcase. Submit up to 3 pieces of art between tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30 – Friday, October 2 at the Southwest Branch during our open hours. You may have another person drop off art on your behalf. If you have an easel or display structure that you’d like us to use to display your work, please bring them along with your art.
The opening reception for the showcase will take place on Sunday, October 4 from 11 am – 12:30 pm! Please join the artists and community members for light refreshments and a first look at the art 🙂
Please note: we strive to display all submitted works, as space allows. Some works may not be included if their size or construction prevents their effective display in the library. Library staff will determine the placement and display of each piece, and artwork will not be moved once it has been placed.
