A Tourist’s Love Letter
I recently visited your city. I rode the Link from SeaTac (although it’s a quite a hike to get there) to where I was staying in Pioneer Square. Took advantage of easy access to the waterfront trail and ran up to Magnolia to admire the beautiful houses I can’t afford. Discovery Park is peaceful. Pike Place is awesome but glad to go during the week instead of the weekend. Smoked salmon from Piroshky Piroshky lived up to the hype. Rode the Monorail to Chihuly. Paid respects to Saint Rat. Took the 554 bus to Issaquah where I stayed for my second half of my trip. Hiked (albeit short due to rain) Mount Rainier. Public transportation in Seattle is amazing and clean. People in Seattle are also courteous and self aware of surroundings: for example when people are using the escalator, everyone, every time, moved to the right if they were not in a rush or walking up; made space for those passing on the left.
