I missed Seattle so I did a painting of the view from the car deck of the ferry in the rain.

I moved to a place in Eastern WA last year. Where I am we have had constant wildfire smoke for weeks (thankfully not as bad as some have had it), and I woke up yesterday missing the fresh air and the smell of rain a lot so I painted a picture of the view from the ferry on a rainy day.

I mainly wanted to remind myself of the smell of the rain, the fresh air and the Sound as I have a lot of good memories taking the ferry. The view isn’t supposed to be of anywhere specific other than to get the construction of the window on the car deck correct. It turned out ok enough I decided to share it in case anyone else misses it too. Hope it brings good memories for all and the smell of the water.

Edit. It was soft pastels I used I’ve been trying to learn to do art. Obviously this isn’t an art sub, but if any actual artists want to share critique I’d welcome it ❤️
