Fuck climate change.
Looking at the forecast…yay atmospheric river, storm systems and flooding possibly for weeks…I know we’ve had unseasonably dry and warm weather so far which is also wrong and weird. But at least it’s not destructive and dangerous for trying to get around. I’ve lived in the PNW most of my life and I was used to the rain and grey but it used to be mostly just wet and drizzly… not this insane downpour shit that seems to have been happening in the past few years. I don’t remember ever hearing about flooding or crazy windstorms like that bomb cyclone. Now I have PTSD whenever the fall storms start cause I never know what kind damage it’s going to bring. I’m not the most confident driver either and have been caught in downpours a couple times in the past years where I legit had to pull over in the middle of the highway because it was just a wall of water you couldn’t see anything through and water flooding the road and it was legit terrifying. So now I’m even nervous about driving out esp with my kids anywhere more than ten minutes away if a storm is in the forecast. Ugh.
